It's Time
The number one reason I support Richard Mourdock for the U.S. Senate is because I am opposed to Dick Lugar. In the course of his current term alone, I've seen him support amnesty for illegal immigrants, reinstatement of the Clinton gun ban, oppose banning earmarks (without offering alternative solutions to the problem of pork barrel spending), and support the confirmation of Presidential appointments for the sake of giving the President a chance to carry out his policies.
The number two reason I support Richard Mourdock is because he is the clear opposite of Dick Lugar. A quick look at the comparison of the two men shows the stark differences, especially in regards to bailouts, where Senator Lugar voted for bailing out the auto industry, and Mr. Mourdock, in his capacity as State Treasurer, fought the Obama administration to keep the pension funds of retired Hoosiers from going to bail out Chrysler.
After 35 years in office, it is time for Dick Lugar to go, and for someone who shares the same fundamental beliefs as I do to take his place. It is time I had a Senator who supports adherence to the Constitution, limited government, fiscal responsibility, the rule of law and the right to life representing me in Washington. It is time to support Richard Mourdock. When May 8th comes along, fellow Hoosiers, let's vote him in (and Dick Lugar out!).
