A piece of great news came this past Thursday came with the appointment of Ron Paul as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy.
Appointed by soon-to-be Speaker John Boehner as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Alabama Congressman Spencer Bacchus revealed his choices for the leadership positions of the committee, with the Congressman from Texas getting the much hoped for appointment for the Domestic Monetary Policy Subcommittee.
This appointment is a great step in the right direction. With Congressman Paul's new job, his jurisdiction will include monitoring the actions of the Federal Reserve, a leviathan of government the gentleman from Texas has been battling for some time. Furthermore, I cannot think of anyone more qualified to lead a subcommittee on our domestic monetary policy than Ron Paul. I take more stock in what he has to say about money than I ever would Ben Bernanke.
Congratulations to Ron Paul with his appointment.
