Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich, the last of the Haditha Marines, is expected to go through a court-martial. According to Tony Perry at The Los Angeles Times, the judge hearing the case ruled there was no “undue commanding influence” on the two Marine generals who brought charges against S.Sgt. Wuterich.
Considering the details behind what actually happened in Haditha in 2005, this outrage should never have gotten this far, especially when also considering the other Marines wrongly accused and branded as murderers have either been acquitted or have had the charges against them dropped. However, S.Sgt. Wuterich and his lawyers look forward to the trial and are confident the truth will come out. I certainly hope so.
Keep on fighting, S.Sgt. Wuterich.
P.S. Here's a support site for S.Sgt. Wuterich.
