I'm Mr. Twin Trigger

This is how I would look as a superhero:

I like guns, blue is my favorite color and those are some darn good shades I've got on. What can I say? I like how I look as a comic book superhero. I even like the name, although that to me is the weakest part of the package (I'd have chosen Bullet for a name).

Anyway, if you want to go through the process of becoming a superhero, here's the place to go. By the way, don't mess with me, if you know what's good for you.

Reminded of the truth

The crimes committed against Muslim women by Muslim men earn a distinctive place amongst the more horrific crimes committed today for two reasons: 1) they are condoned as acts of honor within the religion of Islam and 2) they are largely regarded as just crimes no different than under any other circumstances.

Thanks to bloggers like Pamela Geller, we are reminded of the truth of these crimes, known wrongly as honor killings for there is nothing honorable about these crimes. In addition, thanks to Ms. Geller, she expressed my sentiments exactly in regards to these so-called honor killings:

HONOR KILLINGS SHOULD BE A CAPITAL CRIME. Period.

Take a look at the blog post, and especially take a long look at each and every one of the pictures featured in the post; virtually all of them were victims of these so-called honor killings. They simply wanted to live their lives, but they couldn't, and when they continued trying to live their lives, their families would kill or attack them. Barbarity like this should never, ever, be tolerated, or ignored.

Now isn't that interesting, chapter 17

With today being St. Valentine's Day, this post from Dymphna about the origin of the day is not only historically interesting, but fitting as well.

Geert Wilders and the Day of Shame

Gates of Vienna has written about the effort by Geert Wilders to travel to Britain yesterday, despite the fact he has been banned from entering the country. Invited by a member of the House of Lords for a screening of his film Fitna and yet banned from entering Britain by the government out of concern of violent reprisals, Mr. Wilders nevertheless attempted to enter the country. Unsurprisingly, he was not allowed to leave Heathrow International Airport in London and was sent back home to the Netherlands.

The actions of the British government in this episode again do nothing except prove the spineless, appeasing behavior that is pervasive throughout it, something Mr. Wilders himself pointed out in an interview with the BBC. With some of the people allowed to reside in Britain already, it defies all logic and common sense to not allow somebody like Geert Wilders into their country.

Indeed, yesterday proved to be, as one Danish newspaper described it, a day of shame.

P.S. Here are open letters from Baron Bodissey and Michiel Mans concerning this shameful episode.

200 years ago today

200 years ago some guy got born in Kentucky. Sure is quite an opening for a piece about Abraham Lincoln, isn't it? Anyway, we've now reached a landmark today with this day being the 200th anniversary of the birth of our 16th President.

Abraham Lincoln was one of those Presidents God blessed us with to be at the right place and at the right time. George Washington was there to lead our country on the right direction, FDR was there to lead us through WWII, Ronald Reagan was there to bring about the end of the Cold War and George W. Bush was there to lead us through 9/11 and our fight against Islamic terrorism and those nations that harbor them.

But Honest Abe was there at a time when we really needed a strong leader, when America was on the verge of tearing apart through civil war. With tension rising over the matters of slavery & state's rights, the 1860 election ended up lighting a fuse that would explode six months later at Fort Sumter.

The four years that followed proved to be the most tumultuous years the nation ever went through, and it was up to Lincoln to keep the Union intact at all cost. In the end, the cost was extremely high, but the Union held, and for that, we have Abraham Lincoln to thank for that.

Happy 200th, Mr. President, and thanks for everything.

The Persecution Of Geert Wilders

Since late last month, Geert Wilders has been going through the legal ordeal of battling trumped up charges of hate speech in his native country of the Netherlands as a result of his having made the film Fitna.

For me, it is no surprise this took place. Geert Wilders, as I've written in the past, is one of the few politicians in Europe (and that is saying a lot) who actively has spoken out and campaigned against the threat of Islam in Europe and the rest of the Western world, an epitome of the phrase the canary in the coal mine.

And for his political courage and tireless efforts, the Dutch courts saw fit to repay him by charging him with committing acts of hate speech, revealing how cowardly and spineless they truly are.

Fortunately, Mr. Wilders has shown himself determined to fight back, and he has considerable support from his countrymen, fellow politicians from Europe and America and those of the Counterjihad. There has also since arisen, in addition to the blogs who are covering the latest episode of Geert Wilders and his (as well as our) crusade against Islam, like Gates Of Vienna & Atlas Shrugs, another highly recommended blog, Defend Geert Wilders, as well as the formation of The International Free Press Society.

There are ways to support Geert Wilders, including donating money to help him in his legal battles. If you can do so and wish to, please go ahead. In the end, this fight remains a good fight, and we need to continue fighting it.
