Coin controversy?

Sarah Palin is obviously in a league inhabited by Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, as her usual list of defaming critics went off over some “controversy” (like they apparently do just about every other day). Funny thing is, I didn't find out about it until Governor Palin herself wrote about it on Facebook yesterday:

It is stunning to read and hear about this “coin controversy.” At a recent speech in Milwaukee I discussed the troubling fact that we too often move God to the side in our public life, and gave as an example the shift of the words “In God We Trust” to the edge of the dollar coin. My comments were not about this President or this Congress – this change predated them. I was merely making a point about a disturbing trend in our country, after which I moved on to discuss some encouraging trends. People who try to read more into such straightforward comments are working hard to find a controversy where there is none.

Thankfully, fellow Blogger for Sarah Palin Josh Painter had the story on it (and the culprit behind the “controversy”). If the fact that Sarah is subjected to the same shrill attacks and defamation as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck isn't obvious by now, this “controversy” should make it so.

The last sentence in Governor Palin's note here says it best; her critics are so determined to find some kind of controversy, some kind of scandal, anything in order to nail her political coffin, it does nothing but make them look like fools. Keep it up, foolish critics, keep it up.

(On an off-topic matter, Governor Palin and two of her daughters were on Oprah Winfrey's show, and it'll be aired this upcoming Monday. Josh Painter also has a post on the upcoming episode. I'll say this much, this'll be the first time I've ever wanted to watch Oprah in my life.)
